My first experience with yoga was in high school. My best friend's mom was taking a teacher training course and she invited us to be guests in a class she was teaching. I thought the postures were the funniest thing and had a hard time not bursting into laughter during our cat/cow poses. I got over the giddiness in short order and made it the end of the class. Sivasana was fantastic still is. The lovely feeling I was left with prompted me to sign up for a weekly course and thus began my yogic adventure. Nowadays, I enjoy the community at the Shala the energy has a welcoming feel to due to the generosity of the teachers and practioners alike. I feel very lucky to be a part of it.
