I have been practising yoga for past 10 years. I took upon yoga primarily to gain physical fitness. After about 2 years of regular practice, yoga grew on me and I started my own inquiry into yoga. Ashtanga Vinyasa style of yoga attracted me and I joined Yoga Shala Calgary where I learnt yoga as taught by Pattabhi Jois in India. I started learning primary series at the Shala and kept doing primary series for few years making slow step by step progress. For me, yoga is to bring yourself on mat almost daily and practise. I am grateful to Dana for being my mentor and guiding me through this journey which I am enjoying so much. Yoga has the ability to transform life and there is so much more to know and learn about yoga that it can last lifetime!!! I am passionate about learning more and become a lifelong student of yoga as someone has rightly said "there are no teachers but only students of yoga".
