My yoga journey began over ten years ago when I continued to experience many injuries as a triathlete. I was encouraged to practice yoga to rehabilitate, but to my surprise I quickly felt like I had arrived home. Without hesitation, yoga became the essence of my daily life, and planted a seed that would inspire me to really get to know myself and dig deep to understand what I wanted my footprint in this lifetime to be.
I completed my first training in 2006 for Moksha Yoga, and second training in 2010 for Ashtanga Yoga. I have had the great pleasure and honour to participate in subsequent workshops and certifications in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Barre, Meditation and Mindfulness. Kino Macgregor, Fiona Stang, Ted Grand, Susi Hatley, Jessica Robertson, Rameen Peyrow and Elena Brower have left such an impression in my heart that I am forever grateful. I am also a Registered Nurse and really appreciate the balance yoga provides within my nursing career as an Emergency and Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse.
Teaching is a privilege for me, and a gift that nurtures more sacred and genuine connectedness on an off my mat for myself, while providing the space to meet like minded people in this journey of life. It is with great pleasure I simply hold a space so you may learn more about your essence. Buddha said: "The mind is everything. What you think is what you become." My wish is that we rise above insecurities and limitations and truly see the light within each of us as we navigate transformation and our individual truths.
