Q. Can I reserve a spot online, in advance of coming to your drop-in classes?

A. Yes! You can sign up, pay and reserve a place in class on our website. This is a great way to speed up the process when you come in for your first class. *Please note: in order to retain your spot you must be at the studio 15 minutes before class begins. If you reserve a space and are unable to make it, you must sign in to your account and remove yourself from class to avoid a late cancellation penalty.

Q. What should I bring to Yoga Class?

A. Please dress comfortably in light clothing. Your own yoga mat is recommended for hygienic reasons. Top quality mats are available for purchase at The Yoga Shala; we also provide rental mats for $2 per session. You may bring a water bottle for after your class; however we do not recommend you drink water during class.

Q. How early should I arrive prior to the class start time?

A. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to find parking, pay and fill out a waiver form. Latecomers will not be accommodated.

Q. Is parking available?

A. We do have a few undesignated stalls in the parking lot, however if you have time or the lot seems nearly full please park on 20th street or 19th street south of 15th Avenue (2 hour parking). We wish to facilitate good karma with our neighbours by respecting their parking requirements.

Q. What is your schedule?

A. Please check the schedule on our website for up to date class and teacher information.

Q. Do you have hot yoga?

A. We do not heat our room beyond 30 degrees celcius, because we don't need to. In the practice of Ashtanga Yoga YOU create a detoxifying internal fire from your own effort.

Q. Will The Yoga Shala use my e-mail to forward junk mail, if I give my address to you?

A. Your email address is strictly confidential, and will be used by The Yoga Shala only.
